Choir
Singing is praying, and there are many ways you can use your singing talents at St. Mary’s. There are three choirs, the “Adult Choir”, the Family Choir, and the Resurrection Choir.
- Adult Choir: This choir sings for the 9:00 mass on the 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th (if there is a 5th) Sundays of the month. Practice is on Thursdays at 7:00 pm. This choir sings 2, 3, and 4 part music to enhance congregational singing. Adult choir “season” is from Labor Day through annual church picnic. New members welcome!
- Family Choir: This choir sings the 2nd Sunday of the month. Anyone and everyone are welcome to sing! Families, individuals; anyone who would like to sing with a group. This is unison singing, and practice is at 8:20 prior to mass.
- Resurrection Choir: This choir sings for funerals, and, like the other two choirs, new members are welcome.
As stated above, new members are always welcome. We are fun groups that welcome the opportunity to enhance liturgies through song. If you are interested in getting more information and/or joining the Adult or Family choirs, please call Leanne at 465-9832. Or, just come to Thursday evening practice. If you are interested in getting more information and/or joining the Resurrection Choir, please call Carol at 336-4628.
