On Sunday, the Vigil of the Feast of St. Francis, Franciscans and lay followers of Francis gather in prayer to commemorate the passing of St. Francis from life on earth to life in eternity. This service is called Transitus. We at St. Mary of the Angels, who have been served by the Franciscans since our founding, invite one and all to our celebration of Transitus on Sunday in our church.
