On Tuesday, January 26, a program was started allowing walkers to use our School gym. The gym is available from 11:00am to 12:00 every Tuesday and Wednesday to provide for a warm place, with no snow or ice, for you to go for a walk! It’s difficult to get out in this weather and nowhere to go inside because of the pandemic, so why not come to the gym to get your steps in? It’s open only for parishioners, 18 and up, unless accompanied by a parent or grandparent. Bring a pair of gym shoes to wear since no street shoes are allowed. Come to the ramp entrance of the gym off of the parking lot. You can either park on the street or in the parking lot but only against the gym wall. It is not necessary to register just show up.
Everyone must wear a mask and maintain social distancing while walking.
Not lots of walkers but those that participate are enjoying the exercise.
Everyone is getting their exercise, wearing their masks and keep social distance. Sure does look like a safe way to get your exercise when the weather is bad. Remember as the snow melts, ice can form and the last thing you want to do is fall.
Give it try and sure you will enjoy.
