Deacon Paul’s Mission Trip
Presentation on Sunday May 19 was great. We learned a lot about the good work Paul and his group do for the people in the Dominican Republic. The Parish also surprised Paul with a chocolate cake and a video of his life leading up to his 19 years as a Deacon. Thanks for all you do for the Parish Paul.
On February 15 Deacon Paul traveled to the Dominican Republic Mission in Elias Pina for two weeks. He lead a group of ten laymen and Deacons ranging in age from 25 to 81. They built a chapel in the community of Gauzumal but had to leave before the the roof, windows and doors were added. Fr. Mike Seis has since sent Paul the above picture showing that the chapel is now completed. Paul stated the chapel was named St. Agnes and will be used not only for mass services but also as a community center. A group of his workers and natives are shown in the photos. Note the photo with Paul and all the natives the lady way in the back raising her hand in gratitude for the chapel. Paul thanks everyone for their prayers and financial contributions to the 2019 Deacon Mission Trip.
